High school students, who want an internship with the Lab during the school year, can apply from Aug 1 to Dec 31.
Any students who will have graduated from high school by the start of the internship, and those who have been accepted into an undergraduate program, should instead apply for an undergraduate (UGS) internship.

- All high school students may apply for the Lab’s high school internship program. If a student is not from Northern New Mexico, then their mentor will need to submit a request for an exception.
- Must be a second semester junior at the time of applying and a senior during the internship
- Must be 16 years old at the start of the internship
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
