    The Workforce Programs Office (WFPO) was formed in 2022 to support employees, managers and senior leaders in attracting, developing and retaining the workforce needed to accomplish the Laboratory’s national security missions.  The WFPO supports the Laboratory through professional development opportunities and enhanced partnerships with internal organizations, higher education institutions and external professional groups.

    To lead and assist efforts that enable and enhance staff recruitment, build targeted pipelines and provide professional development tools for the workforce.

      The Workforce Programs Office serves as an integrator across organizations at the Laboratory in areas related to Pipeline Recruiting efforts and Professional Development. Central to these activities is increased communications, both internal and external, which is critically important for the office.
